question on a tach please

Looking too get a tach for a 72 evinrude 65 hp model 65273S. I see for most tachs you need too know how many poles there is on the outboard. Can anyone please tell me what mine would be? Please

They come with instructions, I got mine used and just kept changing the switch until it read correct. Then I installed it in the dash.

It was neat getting 12K rpm for a while.

If your 'rude is a 2 cylinder, the pulse setting is 5, all other 'rudes use pulse setting 6.
