Re: Question on Achris water pump video
I usually find it's best to strip down, assess what's needed, then go buying all the parts.... Not going to get caught with any 'nasty surprises'....
Trying to buy parts beforehand can lead to doubling up. Let's say you think you need a shift cable. You buy the cable kit which includes a bellows (because you know you should replace the bellows at the same time

), then while doing the job you find a problem with the uni bellows and the gimbal bearing. Now you need the transom seal kit, but that includes a shift cable bellows. So now you have 2 shift cable bellows.
If you had done the strip down first you would have then been able to buy the transom seal kit and the shift cable kit withOUT the bellows, thus saving you money....
Just something to think about.
Cheers....
Chris.
