Question on California boating laws and fishing

I am planning on fishing late in the afternoon/evening on a small California lake. How late can I fish by law? or is there a law on this?

It depends on the lake. And perhaps the species.

Thanks for the reply, that looks a little confusing...I will have to study it.

It was Lake Davis that we went to which is in Plumas county.

Great trip too. Caught 4 rainbows one was 18".

We fishing until about 7:15 and sundown was 7:01.
