Hi all, Looking to set up my new to me 22' Webbcraft bow rider with a Mercruiser 5.7L I/O for some wakeboarding and kneeboarding. My old boat which I still have has a ski pylon, the type that has a screw in pedestal in the floor and two rigid bars going to the rear corners of the boat. Question is, I've seen people say the skylon type poles with the bow strap are better for wakeboarding, why? I will probably just transfer my old pylon over to the new boat, just wondering why the other kind is better.
Also, my boat has an SSEI106 Alpha 1 type outdrive paired to the 260hp 5.7l V8. My buddy has a 4 blade Apollo Michigan Series SS prop thats marked 14 1/8 x 20, would this be better than the 3 blade SS prop thats on the boat now for pulling a wakeboarder?
This is the boat.
Thanks in advance!
