i am in the process of rebuilding the fuel side of a vro fuel pump on a 1996 ocean pro 200. in the process of reassembling i noticed that the o-ring provided for the vacuum passage is blue and smaller with a smaller hole in it. is this an update? should i re use the black o-ring that seems to fit correctly?

thanks

the pumps were not rebuildable until the 1998 model which used common parts with all the engine models that year. It is easy to tell a '98 and later pump as they use replaceable hose nipples on the pump housing, and they are retained by metal oval shaped plates and 2 screws.

An earlier pump can use the fuel pump and the air motor diaphragm, but the other internal parts may be different.
