I bought a rebuilt 1991 70 hp motor. It says 70 on the cover. It runs great. When I looked at the model number on the motor, it shows that the motor is a 60 hp. Should I have any reason to doubt the cover?

Yes. You probably have a sheep in wolf's clothing. Someone put a 70 cowling on your 60.

Not a big deal unless you are nuts about measuring WOT. You probably wouldn't notice a difference.

Both used the 56 cid block. Like JB says, I doubt you'll ever see the difference.
