I have an older V-186 Glastron that I'm planning on possibly replacing transom and stringers. I haven't torn into anything yet and was wondering how the top half of the boat is fastened structurally to the hull? Is it screwed on? I've read about on here about people removing the top half, and was just wondering how it's attached? Thanks for the info!

Re: question

When you Pry out the vinyl strip in the gunwale strip,.. You'll see abunch of Pop-rivits,......

Some of them hold the Aluminum strip,.....
And,...
The rest hold the upper deck to the hull.........

Sometimes it's Screws,.... But I think Glastron used Rivits.......
