Questions 4.3 Mercruiser 4.3l 2001

My coworker is looking to but a 2001 Stingray. It is in pretty good shape and the guy isnt sure the HP and all. So i do have serial numbers can yall give me any info.

The engine and drive are both 1990. and the boat should also be a 1990. Not sure how they can call it a 2001. You might want to check the HIN of that boat. The Stingray that engine and drive was in is PNY14514A090.

The engine is a 185hp NON Balance shaft engine. with an Alpha I drive, not an Alpha I Gen II.

Sorry guys. I meant 1991. I was thinking of my boat when i wrote that and it is a 2001. Thanks for the info.

and he is getting if for 2000. I think it is a good deal if it runs good and no noticeable engine issues. He might take it to get in checked before buying. We will see.
