questions for the ted williams gods

I have a 76 7.5 ted williams.I got a 72 repair manual.Is thier many diferances
that i should know about? It is frozen and i have PB blast in it now for 2 weeks.If it dosn't turn over, is it easy enough to tear apart and rebuild?Is thier any words of wisdom for any of my endevors?

That is an Eska built motor.
The motor uses an AV817 Tecumseh air cooled power head with a water cooled exhaust leg.The 72 and 76 are covered in the same section in my after market manual.72 is a 7 hp 76 7.5.
72 was the first year for the AV817 powerhead.817 was carried through to circa 85 the end of production.
The Eska is an easy motor to work on and you will get lots of practice.
An inexpensive motor to get started with but not known for their reliability.
I my opinion not worth a huge investrment in labor or parts.
If you enjoy the tinkering knock yourself out.
