I bought a 1977 model 15" MonArk McFast 5 with a 1986 Force 85HP outboard for $300. The transom is pretty weak, i can push down / up on the motor at mid tilt and will move in/out a good 1-2 inches. my question is, if i repair the transom via the seacast method, about how many gallons will i need? i know they have a calculator on there site, but im just tring to get an estimate.

Also, how do i tell if a have an inner transom wall?? its white and somewhat rough, not smooth like wood would be? would his be the inner fiberglass transom wall?

couple more..

How far do i go on each side of the transom..like how far away form the edges of the boat to get all the wood?

thanks, anybody have any experice with this model boat?

Also, for the drain and livewell holes / tubes do i just leave them in when i pour the seacast? or take them out, and drill the holes after the seacast has set up for a couple of days?
