for those familiar with prop for MC1 and any needed parts (but, washer, etc) can point be to one for my 260. IIRC it was a 19 pitch but could go larger.

Might have someone come to look at her on saturday, forgot I don't have a prop any longer.

Ayuh,...... Really, Really old MC-1s used a stepped propshaft,....

Sometime in the late-60s, or early-70s, it went to the current Alpha configuration,....

ok lots of learning about props this morning think I've got it figured out but in trying to order one iboats is out of the hub so not sure what to do. I'll call later today. Since the dude to look at the boat is sick and not coming don't need to get too quickly.

I'm going 21 pitch instead of the 19 to get a few more top end mph, with my tabs i don't need the hole shot help and I'd rather cruise a bit more efficiently.

Would a four blade be an advantage? If it doesn't sell i'd like to maximize my efforts here.

what were your rpms with the 19”? Unless you are at the top of the rpm range you may not be able to swing a 21 to get more top speed.
generally 4 blades have provided me better holeshot, stern lift and lower planning speeds At the expense of some top speed. Ive used them on my last two boats because the performance in how I use my boat is better . I rarely miss the 3 mph less top speed...

well, iboats shipped fast. Wish i could have found the forum members coupon code.

Anyone have a recommended video for doing a prop? I've looked at a few but don't want to miss something.

Turns out, in 30 plus years of owning boats I've never done any prop work.

Looks fairly straight forward, however since I did not have the old set up i ordered all suggested accessories which included a spacer. The few videos I've watched only use the thrust washer. What would the other be used for?

this is what I ordered, and all accessories are listed along the top

ok, easy enough but have a fairly large concern with the quality of the prop I purchased here from iboats. Two of the three blades pass by the trim tab fine, the third hits it. I removed and re-positioned the prop back on the spline and the same blade still hits. So it seems I have a defective prop. Any other thoughts?

You could have a bent shaft. But it's likely you have the older style 'long' anode. Either replace the anode with the newer short one, or just file a clearance slot for the blades.
