I have a 96 Johnson 88 SPL

I have been reading 1985 Johnson Water Pump Job (Photos) Lots.

Is the repair process about the same?

any suggestions before I rip into it?

If you get the complete pump kit (BRP), I think it comes with instructions. All the bigger motors are pretty much the same.
