quick question about Volvo270 drive bellows.

....Seems like everywhere i've found on replacing drive bellows no one mentions sealing the drive bellows on with silicone or somthing of the sort where they mate to the metal surfaces. Mine had no sealant on it when I pulled the leaky one off.... I see where Mercruiser does on theirs and have read about the woes of cleaning and pulling them off... Anyone use a sealant on their bellows on volvo outdrives ?

I dont know if it is right or not but I was told by a boat mechanic to use weatherstriping adhesive....I just replaced mine and that is what I used and it does not leak...hope that helps

Nothing but a hose clamp. Not a drop in many years.
