Could someone please give me the cliff notes version of how the quick start mode works. Like many I bought my boat used and did not recieve an owners manual. I want to follow the correct starting procedure.1988 evinrude 225 E225CXCCE
Basically you follow the usual start method but you dont have to advance the throttle.<br /><br />1- Pump the bulb to pressure the system.<br />2- Turn the key to "On". Do not engage the starter.<br />3- Push the key in to activate the primer and count to 8. That releases fuel into the intake.<br />4- Turn the key to "Start" to engage the starter.<br /><br />The motor should start almost instantly. You may have to tap the primer a couple of times as it warms up initially.<br /><br />The rpms will be around 1100 or so depending on your set up. DO NOT shift it until the motor has warmed up and the rpms fall to 700-800 in neutral.
