I have a 1995 Searay 180. 4.3LX, Gen II with a QS 3000 control with trim and the trailer button. Yesterday the trim up stopped working. Today I took the control apart to find the switch working fine, and I know there is a safety built in to the trim so it won't come up too high. The problem is the little cap (rectangle with the word trim and up and down arrows) that snaps on to the switch and activates it. The cap doesn't stay snapped on when you try to trim up. I think there is a small collar broken on the switch that keeps the cap tightly on. Anyone had this problem. I have the cap off now and I can work the switch fine with my thumb. I am thinking of using epoxy to attach it for good. Seems like a waste to replace the switch that is working OK. Any thoughts or anyone know the model of this control so I can see what parts are available?
