Is this kit worth the higher price then traditional muffs? it's for a bravo 3. has anyone used it? i don't even know if the rod will go through the pickup holes...
Amazon site was canadian, assuming those are CA$Be careful with the flusher you linked as the price seems double ($74.72) of what they normally charge. OEM should be around MSRP: $46.49 with some $ saved if the website offers any percentages off such as Bam marine for example, https://www.mercruiserparts.com/44357q2-flushing-kit
While searching the part number through Amazon (again?) appears to come in slightly lower than OEM, https://www.amazon.com/s?k=44357Q2&crid=CKE8UFDFG8K3&sprefix=44357q2+,aps,173&ref=nb_sb_noss_2
Yes it is worth it. $75 though? Ouch! I just stick a welding filler rod through my regular $10 muffs. Drill a little hole in the center of the rubber part of the muffs opposite of the hose connection. Make sure the hole (drill bit) is much smaller than the rod. Put the muffs on, then stick the rod through hole you drilled, then through the pickup holes, then it should go into the garden hose a little bit, but it doesn't have to. When you turn the water on, it will stay.
