I have a 1987 18' Sea Ray Cuddy Cabin with 4.3L V6 175 MerCruiser and a QuickSilver Commander Classic Panel Mount Control. I just bought the boat and trying to get things back in working condition. The Control arm is wobbly and I am having issues with it not wanting to go back in to neutral. I am attempting to remove the arm so that I can figure out why it is wobbly. I removed the two screws that hold the front panel plate that has the trim switch and I removed the two screws holding the trigger plate in place. When I went to remove the screw that requires an allen wrench I discovered that there was no screw in place (this might be part of the issue). I still want to take it apart and give it a good look over. It is my understanding that the five screws are what holds the arm in place and that I should be able to simply pull the arm away. When I try to remove the arm it still feels like something is holding it and I cannot locate what might be holding it. I have attached some pictures to show were I am on this. Am I missing something?
