Quicksilver Commander taken apart to replace trim switch/wiring harness

While replacing the trim switch and wiring harness, the box fell over and some parts fell out.
After much frustration, I thought I was able to put everything back together properly...….apparently not.
The small brass button on the far left on the paper towel is left-over.
I have no idea where it goes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I appreciate the reply but that link is for the Commander Classic. I have a Commander 2000.

It pushes that spring in that is right under the black guard in the picture. You can see part of the spring in your picture its held in place by that half circle

Have you looked on Youtube?
there is a number of videos there atm re remote repairs,

Not sure about your particular model though

It's larger than the roller for the fast idle. I've attached a new picture for size reference.
I've yet to find a video that shows the unit fully apart.
