Since they made 2000s and 3000s, this looks like one of the first of the single handle units so I would guess it to be a 1000. I have/have had both the others and it surely isn't one of them and other than a dashboard helm mount, like a custom unit, I don't think Quicksilver/Merc makes any other style. The 2000 mounts on the bulkhead as that one with cables exposed, and the 3000 mounts in the bulkhead with the cables hidden. The 2000 has a lift up fast idle lever on top, which I don't see on this one and the 3000 has a big black button that you depress to get the lever to affect the throttle only....fast idle.
