I have a 1989 Quicksilver Genset with only 197 hours on it. The board went and I am getting it repaired. Today I was working on the boat and decided to change the plugs in the genset. I was able to get 2,3and 4 out. The first one I can't seem to get the sparkplug socket on it:confused:Not really sure what is going on:confused:I put a mirror down in the hole and looked at it and and it looks like it is real tight on one side and the socket is not making it all the way down on the plug. Maybe I have to grind down the socket:D Or any other idea's.
Thanks
Bob

Re: Quicksilver Genset ?

If this is the one i think it may be it uses a Nissan engine? If so then its probably the head bolt getting in the way, you will need a thinner spark plug, or just thin yours on a bench grinder.

Still get a pic. If it is the one im thinking of they are REALLY common engines in older Nissan Motors over here... :)
