Hi everyone, I'm rebuiding the powerhead of a 1993 115 two stroke Mariner and I would like to know if there is any type
of compatible grease i can use that can hold the loose needle found on the connecting rod where the piston is located.

The reason why I ask is my dealer here will not order the quicksilver needle bearing grease because it comes in 5 tubes and he will not order since he won't be able to sell the other 4 tubes.

So I'm looking for a grease that can do the job (hold the needles in place), Lub the needles and is compatible with the quicksilver needle grease that I cannot order.

Thank you

Dan

White lithium works well enough, and washes out quickly once the motor is started.

I prefer the toothpaste tubes or even a spray can over a tube as a tube can get contaminated way too easily.

It doesn't take much, just enough to 'stick' each roller into place.
