Can't seem to get my 85 150 black max xr2 to go into forward gear. It will go into reverse. When I push the shifter forward the cable at the back doesn't move. Occasionally, if I move it really quickly it will pop into gear at high rpm's which isn't good.
Just wondering if there are any adjustments I can make on the control box.....detent or friction screws? Never adjusted them before so not sure what purpose they serve, if that's even a cause for my issue.
