quicksilver trim/trailer stoppe working

everything was working in driveway then i took it to lake and wouldnt trim. few minutes later it started working again. then everything up down and trailer stoppped working again. i jumped th selionoid and it went up but cant get it to work from switch. when i hit switch theres no clicking. it is a 1998 mercruiser alpha 1 gen 2 135hp 4 cyl.

Doesn't really tell us anything. Like year, model, drive type, anything.
Head up to the Adults only sticky (2nd post from the top) of this forum, and do some looking around and reading. There are OEM manuals you can download and all.

I would check that all connections are corrosion free and tight. Then check the wires for breaks or pinches. I had a problem last year that my trim would not go down sometimes. It turned out to be a wire break at the lanyard.
