quiksilver 3000 clasic binding

I am having a problem with the quiksilver control binding.Tried taking it apart but I can't remember how to get the center button off.I figured on taking it apart and checking it out. its like the release pin is hanging up and with a little force the lever goes past the bind. Any Ideas???

If I remember correctly, push the neutral button, push throttle forward to fast idle. Now pull the neutral button out.

By the way, I'm also having problem with my 3000. Can you confirm if you can start your motor in forward fast idle position with neutral button depressed? My seems to only work if I shift into fast idle in reverse position.

I think that I can start the motor iat fast idle, I will try it in the morning and get back to you.
