Re: R/C Planes anyone...???
I guess I was one of the lucky ones as I have always been interested with flying even as a child, but thought I couldn't until in the mid 70's when I had an opportunity to go flying in a Cessna 150 with my then girlfriends brother who flew and really got my attention and went to school and received my private pilots license in 1976 and continued on to try to get my Commercial with the help of the GI bill which paid for 90% of that training, I had all my book learning and flight training time in and just had to pass the written test and flight test, at the time I had met and married again which took most of my attention and money but took the Commercial written test anyway and failed the test by one question, the loved the experience even though I never got the Commercial license.. I was living in Orange County California at that time..
Later when living in Reno I got interested in RC's as one of the main streets I would pass on had a large park that was used for hot air balloons was also used as a flying field for electric flyers, I was hooked again and bought a
Zagi RC Flying Wing - YouTube to learn with and got pretty good at it, I went on to purchase 2 trainer gas RC air planes and a Raptor 30 helicopter
Thunder Tiger Raptor 30 Heli Flight Uncut Raw 4 minute Flight Just For FUN! - YouTube and a P51 mustang I put together that has a 65" wingspan I have never finished, all I still have but haven't flown in years now as money is an object and am using for my boat..
