Ok I am hoping to take a survey here for anyone who has used Racetrac gas. Two months ago I filled up my tank, (12 gallons) with 93 octane Racetrac gasoline.
Immediately I began having issues related to a fuel issue,
but since I had used it without issue for an entire year before I didnt immediately suspect it to be the culprit.
Again tonight before heading to Lake Lewisville for some nighttime catfishing I filled up again, with Racetrac gasand as soon as I got there my engine would barely idle and as soon as I tried to put it into gear it died.
So basically I am trying to find out if anyone else has had a similiar issue with this brand gasoline.

Unless your motor requires it, it's not good for it. Most are made to run on Regular grade. Higher octane means slower buring unless the compresion ratio is high enough. If it isn't made for it, the motor can be damaged by it.

The Racetracks around here sell the ethonal (sp) blended gas. I think they blend as much as 15% into their gas.

Yeah sorry for the confusion WillyB, Racetrac is one of those large discount gas stations. I am located in North Texas and they may not be located all over the country.

Never ran it in my boat, but did run it in my truck a few times and it is S***S! Lousy performance, rough idle and very bad mileage (No power). I don't care how cheap it is...I will never buy Racetrac gas again.
Just my opinion!

I always had problems with Racetrac gas and therefore quit using it a long time ago
