I wish the middle aged hippies and teenagers understood that, but many don't.

I have 30 something friends you wouldn't want your children around when they SPEAK, let alone play music. They are neither hippies nor young, just inconsiderate of others at times, or just forgetting others are around.

...I have a loud boat that has a loud stereo. That doesn't mean that either HAS to be loud as the exhaust has a switch and the stereo has a volume knob. I know that not everyone wants to hear the music of a big block chevy (or Megadeth) so I act accordingly. Music gets turned down and/or exhaust gets quieted when around the docks or other boats, because that's the polite thing to do. We have a right (to a point) to listen to what we want, but we don't have the right to force others to listen....:
