rainwater in boat?

Ok - I just bought a boat a few month ago and keep it outside at the marina. The boat cover is a cheap WalMart special. I used plastic tube stands to prop the cover up in the back and front of the bow rider. It has rained for a straight week in chicago and I'm worried the tubes fell and the water pooled on the cover and got into the boat. If alot of rain water gets in what is the damage besides wet carpeting? By the way marina is closed due to river being closed so I can't get to boat.

I really hope you have an automatic bilge pump and a good battery.
Too much water and you get problems, wet floor, foam and stringers.
I hope the rain stops so you can check on it..

Stringers are the support beams under the floor that run the length of the boat.On an I/O boat the engine mounts are bolted to them.
If its tilted back on the trailer with the drain out you should be ok..
Just have to uncover it and dry everything in the sun for a few days..

I use the same cover over the top of my mooring covers. I bought shower curtain rods to use as props. They're adjustable and have rubber end caps. They stay in place during the heaviest rains and when trailering.

You should be okay...nose up and plug out, plus a cover. That's normal wear and tear unless something plugged the drain. More than likely it's okay. Check it out soon as you can.
