Raising & Lowering Outdrive

I haven't had this happen, but I would like to know because I have seen and heard it happening to people when they bring there boats out at the dock. What can you do IF you can't bring your drive back up? Can you take something off so you can manually push it up, then hold it up with straps untill you get home? My boat has an Alpha-One unit. Just curious to see the answers........JUST incase it happens, I would rather be prepared.

You can pull the black caps off the pin that holds the drive up, remove the clip and then tap it out. It is the pin that connects your rams to the drive. Oh yeah, be sure to put the rope or strap on first or have somebody holding the drive up!

Anything that Usually Goes Bad,...........<br /><br />Is Inside the Boat,............<br /><br />Much Easier to just Fix It..........Usually it's a Wiring Issue....
