First off Thanks for the advice
Raised the motor up one hole and didn't notice too much difference except the motor seemed to spool up quicker.Still my cavitation plate was under the water, raised up another hole, now as far as I can go.My cavitation plate is now skimming the water and my boat speed remained the same however the spray comming out the sides of my boat is now at least a foot further forward ,the water was rougher when I went back out .So here is my Question...The fact that the spray is further forward would seem to me as if there is more boat in the water creating more drag however the cavitation plate is now an the surface therefore creating less drag. With no noticable gain in raising the motor would it be better to go back down one hole.It may just have been the rougher water though ,can't test again till the weekend.Thoughts anyone?
