What can I do to raise the bow of my boat at full throttle? Right now I feel I have too much boat making surface contact to increase speed. Will a hydofin work in this case?

Does your motor have Power Trim? Trimming the motor up will raise the bow, it you dont have power trim, you can move the pin position.

cajunwoo's <br />The only 2 things I can think of right now are, trim the Motor out some more if you can and/or shift some of the weight in the boat to the stern. Hydrofoil will make it worse by lifting the stern and pushing the bow down..

Depends on how far you are wanting to raise it. Ideally you want the anti-cavitation plate even with the bottom of the boat give or take a half inch or so. Go to high, you cavitate, and dont get enough water in the motor and overheat, and never plane out, go to low and you have too much drag, in which you wont plane, have poor fuel economy, and possibility of other problems. There is a sweet spot that you can hit just right and give your boat optimum performance.

Also what year is your Cajun? Have you tried a different prop, and how many RPMs are you running?

you might want to try some trim extenders. bass pro shops sells them for about $30. they will give you more lift.
