My motor site about 3 inches too low in the water, give or take a few.
It is currently on the lowest setting with the bolts that hold it on, and sits flush right on top of the transom. So some of the weight of the motor is resting on the top of the transom, and it is not all on the mounting bolts.
I can raise the motor to another mounting hole on the motor, but this would raise the motor off the top of the transom, and all of the weight would be on the 4 bolts.
Would this be a problem, or would putting a peice of wood inbetween the top of the transom and the bottom of the motor mount help solve the problem?
