I was looking at a recipe the other day that said, "Put 5 slices of bacon in a pan and fry them crisp. Allow bacon to cool and eat the bacon. Dice onions, carrots, celery, and garlic and saute them in olive oil (or the bacon grease if you like, but you just cooked the bacon to have something to snack on while you cook) until onions are translucent."And Bacon
that is a good wife.I was saving the last bottle of porter that a buddy gave me from a micro brewery in main for a special day. That day came and when I went to get it was gone. I asked my wife where it went and she said she used it to braise the ribs we had last week. Then tells me she only used about a 1/4 of the bottle and drank the rest.
