Well yeah could be worse , at least I know what it is ..........I have stuff that I dont ,
Its a Sphereometer . The centre stud and dial are micrometer adjustable , using this and a mathematical formula that should have landed me on Jupiter you can suss the diameter of big round things , so ,yeah , real handy

yes its a friggin nerd toy geeze ! I thought Id already owned up to that

Its for measuring the radius of the surfaces of lenses from back when such things were hand ground

I have no intention of ever using it , like most of my stuff I just liked the look of it
