Just had a count up ,17 rod/reels and couple of extra reels so I aint close either
I think that image is how the Mrs sees my fishing gear 😆
I’m not too bad…only 37
Being a Rod Smith doesn’t help….lol

Then there is my collection of conventional surf reels. Most are tricked out and or collector items. Have a couple in their original boxes that have never been spooled

Had a pile of factory combos at one point.

Got into rod building and replaced everything with custom, purpose built rods when I started fishing competitively. Took up reel collecting to populate the rods I built.

Mostly, high end blanks with rare/limited edition/best in class reels. A big fan of Century Rods and Blanks

My greatest fear is that Mrs. Dingbat sells the collection when I'm gone for what I told her I have into them....lol

My rod building skills are limited to replacing tips/rings .......Ive even done one on the river bed for some old guy . I have rescued a few rods that only needed a tip ,and even a cheap rod likes a Fuji ceramic tip 😁
