Ranger On-Board Batt Chrger Mounting Location

I believe this may have been asked in a previous thread,(for a different model Ranger). But I'll try anyway...
I recently purchased an XPS Battery charger for my 88 Ranger 373V, and was wondering if any Ranger owners in cyberspace have some good ideas for a mounting location. I may be able to cram it in the FWD area of the battery compartment, but I sure would like some other thoughts or ideas as to a better or different location. Thanks

Just don't place it in the immediate battery area. Off gassing of charging batteries is very corrosive and will destroy your charger.

Look into a remote battery tender.

Thanks Fireman! I had heard about NOT putting the charger near the batteries, and now I know why...Thanks! BTW what is a remote tender??
Is it wise or worth installing the charger in a dry store compartment?
