ranking ?

is there a chart of some kind?

my wife has asked me several times "how do you know when you are going to be promoted?"

i told her its a surprise..just like at work most of the time. one minute you are here and the next you get promoted to there.

seems like i have been a chief petty officer forever.

David, the ranks are as follows and you get promoted according to how many posts you have:

Achieving Rank or Being Promoted on Iboats

1 | cadet
30 | seamen apprentice
50 | seaman
75 | petty officer 3rd class
100 | petty officer 2nd class
200 | petty officer 1st class
400 | chief petty officer
650 | senior chief petty officer
800 | master chief petty officer
900 | ensign
1250 | lieutenant
1500 | lieutenant commander
1000 | lieutenant junior grade
2000 | commander
3000 | captain
4000 | rear admiral
5000 | vice admiral
6000 | admiral
7500 | fleet admiral
10000 | supreme mariner

Just keep in mind, its not the quantity of your posts, its the quality.

i looked around a bit but didnt see anything like that..........probably looking in the wrong section.

the wife and kids were asking me.....i wont lie to you..........i also was interested to know how many posts it takes to advance, but just figured advancement would come ............eventually.

i just had to ask..........it doesnt bother me so much, but it was driving the wife bonkers.

i think she has started her own profile............she has done this to me before, and messed with me ,or gave me a hard time, however you want to put it.

she only messed with me on my fishing sites...........talking about how they (she) was catching all these fish-------------in all the wrong locations, with all the wrong baits, and during the wrong time of the year .

she likes the stupid human tricks the most..............but she will watch my questions for me......when its her turn for the net.

Wow....based on the past quality of your posts, and your fairly high rank, I am astonished at such a dubious piece of advice from you.
Most of us with "other halves" already know the choices are ...you can outrank her....or...you can be happy....
