Just wondering if anybody has dealt with RapidOMarine re-built engines. They are listed on Ebay. Feedback looks good but just want to make sure Im spending my money on something nice.

PS not really a boat "problem" but wasn't sure where to post this question.

Everyone on here that has dealt with them has had good results, & from what I have seen, if there were any issues, they were promptly dealt with......
I'm sure some others will chime in......;)

Re: RapidOMarine Mercruiser 4.3L Vortec

Thanks for the welcome. Right now I have 2 engines in mind. One is the re-built RapidOMarine 4.3 and the other is one that someone recomended on here and its a brand new Eagle Marine 4.3 Vortec for about $1,900. But I would also have to buy more stuff for it. I think my uncle wants me to stay with a carbeurated engine since I have all that stuff already.

same as aboive... good results. If you get a 4.3, get non balance shaft block, roller cam and vortec heads. Add edelbrock intake and carb and you won't be sorry with the outcome... I have one... mine is going in the paper next week... it runs great but I went bigger this year...

Well guys just to answer the question....I ordered a long block (305) and I'm extremely satisified. Call the owner "Raul" directly, he's very helpful and will answer any of your question. Prompt shipping and very well crated....
So thats my experience with Rapido

Ok so I went ahead and dealt with RapidOMarine. Im getting the 97+ 4.3 Mercruiser Vortec. Also getting the intake, and aluminum oil pan. Ill have to take a look at the Edelbrock carb somebody mentioned getting. Any idea how much they run price wise? Ill be sure to let everyone know how the engine runs in a week or so.

Re: RapidOMarine Mercruiser 4.3L Vortec

the 4.3 in my boat now came from rapido and with an edelbrock performer and 1409 carb runs great and pulls really well. I bought the boat after someone else let it freeze and then tried to run it. It's coming out because there's a 388 cubic inch small block ready to go in. Since I bought a 350 as a starting point for the stroker motor, I'll have most of a complete engine package including complete exhaust, etc.. to get rid of. I painted most of the "black" accessories of the new engine today. Did the long block, edelbrock intake and some of the other things in a deep candy red metallic last week, oversize oil pan ondercoated. It's about time to take a week off work and get it swapped in...

As for Rapido, my experience with them was good and after 40 hours or so, engine is running grreat...
