Well dude sorry to here it "stolen" BUT? DAMN glad ya chimed back in here. Little history..(for the rest) Bob and Dave Switzer were original Fox Chain..(my old stomping grounds, kid in the 50's, and tore up the chain into the 70's). Heck, in the 50's my older brother had a Baby Switzer, with a 20H Merc! The boats built were more local, than anything nation wide. "Good ol boys". Based McHenry..(Bobby stiil there summer on the lower Fox, winter in FL, where Dave is at) Thing is I know Bob, and he is a "master of speed, AND..him and Dave built SOLID BOATS! I did a road trip back, 2006, and saw him again, years later his house. He's STILL a solid gearhead. But a little the GL 20/21. We were on Pistakee, and middle 70's, I had a 1974 SS17, with the new XS1500 Merc. Ran 73. Carl next door had a GL20, with the new 200hp Rude. It ran middle 80's. So one day here comes Bobby, wife and dog, and the New GL21, with a 235 Rude. And damn right we did Thursday nights, Drags at Blarneys..(heck, we started it!) Place now famous, and 3 times the size it was then.
What ya had there is a prize find! Damn boats built like a brick, but light too. They designed the perfect hull too for small fast boats. No such thing as "chine walking", just rock solid "on the pad"..with a solid grin yer face too. On my 17 XS, Bobby did the hull, Ralph Kozan built the motor, Jim Moulis from Fox Lake Harbor rigged it right..(outlaw sprint car racer.."King of the cushion". Best damn boat EVER owned. But as young and dumb, sold it...(bad move) Couple pix, and a Link coming,
