Raw washdown/baitwell question

I have a seperate pump for my raw washdown, and baitwell. When I hit either switch I can hear the pump running, even put my hand on it and feel the vibration. I dont get any water out of either. When I am running I get water flowing out of the washdown hose, and into the baitwell, so I dont think there is a restriction. I also started running and then turned the washdown on and did not get any more water. Thoughts?

I have the same set-up. I would have suggested the sea **** below the pump but you are getting water forced thru. Either the impeller is stuck or its shaft is broken, so the motor runs but the impeller doesn't. Time for a new pump.

I was thinking the pump was likely the problem. I have a wierd set up though, it looks like my pumps attach directly to the thru hulls. I have no seacock for either one (scary).

I would go ahead and fix that, also I don't think I've ever seen a wash down pump last more than a couple of years, even the pricey ones.

Yeah, I want to put ball valves on those thru hulls and keep them closed most of the time. Kinda scary that a pump housing failure could sink the boat.
