raw water coolant leak

I have a 1989 omc cobra 4.3L V6 angine. As I was cranking the engine I noticed that rusty looking cooling water was coming from under the right side of the engine(looking back at the engine). I looked under there and it was coming from an open hole (roughly 1.5 inches in diameter) just under the engine mount bracket. There is another one(sealed) of these a couple of inches way toward the rear and two on the opposite side( also sealed). I did not have water coming from that area at the end of last season and I found no missing seal in the bilge area. Any help you all might be able to send my way would be greatly appreciated.

Called a core plug, incorrectly referred to as a freeze plug.It popped because the motor was not winterized properly. Replace with a rubber one to test integrity of the block. If you have water and oil mixing it means a crack.

Thanks for the info. I will work on that starting tomorrow and check the oil as well. What is puzzling is the lack of anything that "popped off" down in the bilge area.I did a search for that part and did not come up with anything. Any idea where I can get one? I will keep you posted
