raw water pump help...Which part # do I go with

As title states and I'm confused as to which pump to order...For a 1978 mercruiser I/O 120-My serial# is 5324631 which brings me to the right pump according to the serial number but it seems my lower is the retrofit alpha according to the ID pics of outdrives.

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,.... If the lower don't match the upper, 'n it's serial #s,...

Ya pretty much gotta do a visual to Id, Which lower ya got, 'n match a part # that way...

All the raw water pump housing, kits, impellers for the MC-1 through the Alpha I drives are the same. You can not use an Alpha I Gen II.

Ah....Thanks! Just pulled everything apart and the old parts match the same as in the picture for the new kit.Man you guys are of great help here on Iboats,I love this place!

Don't forget to lube the impeller when you put it back together. Dish soap, glycerin, silicone spray.
