Raymarine 53 shot , New Ray costly verses other brands ?

My Raymarine 53 is shot ,
Unit is 18 years old ,
Same model is still available ,
This way I can use flush mount but pricing for Raymarine verses a Uniden or other brand is triple
Seldom off shore and if I am no more then 3 -5 miles ,
Majority of boating is ICW , inland ,
Uniden / Cobia / 25 watts $ 119, 00 up too $ 139
with GPS $ 200 plus
Raymarine model 53 -$ 450 plus
Raymarine , IS THE PRICE DIFFERENCE WORHT IT ?

Not a Ray fan.....the short answer is no
Better units out there for less expensive
