well the main reason is that they wont "screw in" to the standard but newer screw pin coil vs the old HV PIN magneto coils used on the oldies since te early 50s... easy underneath routing may also be a problem 1745067079415.png

So I thought I was on the right path. Got spark on both cylinders. Decided to try and see if i could get it to pop off. So put a little fuel directly in the carb, cranked it over and it popped off for brief second , so I added a tad more fuel and cranked. But this time it popped of but than it backfired extremley loud and now it wont even try to start. I still have spark on both cylinders. Any Ideas , can't seem to find anything in the service manual that is helping.

back to basics.. check for spark timing as per video

that backfire may have broken the lobe's key..(flywheel key) messing up ignition

pull FW inspect everything electrical.
