Re-connecting a regulator

I need to replace my regulator on a 1995 Merc 75hp. There are two yellow wires,two red wires and one black. Problem is I didn't mark any wires and do not know which yellow off the regulator goes to which of the two yellow wires on the recieving end of the harness.I believe both go to the stator? Does it matter which of the two yellows go to the other two yellows?

I don't think it matters. Let someone that knows for a fact tell you that just to be sure...Tim

Dont matter.... Both are AC
