Does any one have the chart to re-jet the carbs on a 1986 40HP Johnson for a lake at 7200 foot elevation?

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.:D

You may have to check with your local dealer, they have probably changed some out before.

You could try a 36M 8/32" thread size jet for low speed and a 32D 1/4-20" thread size for high speed. These should be good for 6000-10000 feet altitude.

Re: Re-jetting 1986 40HP for 7200ft elevation

Ok I checked with my local dealer and he came up with the same answer BUT, ( why is there always a BUT...) he also so said the smallest 1/4-20 thread main jet is a #37 and they don't make a 32D

So I am asking all of the oldtimers have your ever heard of a 32D main jet? or does anyone have a part number for a 32D main jet.

Or is there a general agreement that the 32D listed was a typo and it should have read 37D?

Ask your dlr to check part # 330141. Shows as a 34 D. A lot of these jets are probably NLA as the newer mtrs are getting away from them.
