Thanks for the responses folks. If this occurs again, and I verify that there is no drop in fuel pressure when it occurs, what would you guess is next to verify?
I already replaced the TPS early this season because the engine kept surging. What else could it be -- MAP sensor? The TPS was aftermarket. (Made by ARCO)
I feel like if it was an ignition issue, then the bogging down would occur, it would be more violent, and sound like a misfire. Thoughts?
Is it worth it to buy a scan tool to read the data to diagnose? I plan on having this boat for at least another 5 years and will look to upgrade to a larger cruiser thereafter. Good investment?
