looking at a 2000 200hp hpdi anyone have one and are they as good as i here they are? oh it has 173 hrs

high pressure direct injection. probably a yamaha. Get back to I/O's, you're out of your element

Yup. Probably run for 2-3 years and then the owner lost interest, bought another boat, etc etc....and the boat has been sitting for years.

If this is true, then my concern would be WHERE the boat/motor has been sitting(outside or inside) all this time.
