Re-powering my old sailboat...My first time on this site.

My boat is an 1975 Catrigged Ketch. It has a 1975 Johnson 6hp, mounted in a well for power. Old motor still works well, but we need more horsepower and electric start, so my grandkids can use it. Does anyone know the specs on a 1975 Johnson 6 hp? I need to know the weight, as I am considering a 9.9 Honda. Any other thoughts? Thanks.

Couldn't find my 1975 catalog, but found the 1978, which should be the same. 54 lbs for short shaft, 55 for long.
