One of the windows on my1981 Sea Ray 260DA has a persistent leak. The window is about 11" x 90" and is a slider.
It's hard to tell where the rain water is coming in exactly, as it can run along the aluminum frame and show up elsewhere.
I could run a bead of sealer around the window edge, but the proper way is to pull it and reseal it under the flange.
What sealer is generally used for this?
I know in the RV world RTV is frowned upon in favor of a Dicor sealant that is oil based and doesn't really harden.
So what are the suggestions for sealant?
